Ribbit on the road

November 17th, 2009 by Kristie Wells | located in Conferences/Events, Public Speaking | trackback

There is a little something for everyone here and hoping to lay our eyes on you at one or more of these events:

Microsoft PDC: November 17-19, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Join Mat Taylor, Joe Black, Wes Leonardo and Lisa Chand on the show floor in the Ribbit booth. Think they have plans to buy some drinks while there, so make sure to hit them up if you see them!

Dreamforce: November 17-20, 2009 in San Francisco, CA. We just announced the Ribbit for Salesforce 2.0 release so make sure you stop by our booth (#317) and ask the team to give you a demo of the voice to text record creation, SMS (text) messaging from the web and so much more.

  • You should also catch our very own Greg Goldfarb (vice president and general manager of enterprise applications) during his “Sales 2.0: Boosting Rep Productivity with the Best New Web Technologies” session on Friday (10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m) in Esplanade 300.
  • And our good friend (and Ribbit for Salesforce loving client), Will Stacy, will be taking the stage during Dreamforce in the “Mobile Round Table: Success Stories from the Trenches” on Thursday (2:45 pm) in Room N125.

Supernova: December 1-3, 2009 in San Francisco, CA. Join Ribbit’s Crick Waters and BT’s JP Rangaswami and Kevin Marks in three killer sessions.

  • On December 2nd at 9am: JP Rangaswami, John Hagel, Umair Haque, Ellen Levy discuss Crisis? What Crisis? Strategies for a Connected World. Was the financial crisis a permanent discontinuity in market economies, or just a temporary bump in the road? Either way, can the strategies and economics of the 20th century to translate to the digitally networked world of the 21st?
  • December 2nd at 3pm: Kevin Marks, Barney Pell, Caterina Fake cover Sense Making: Real Time Search, Answers, and Discovery. How can we extract actionable knowledge out of the cacophony of interactions as they happen? Is real-time search just a faster version of searching the web, or something fundamentally new?
  • December 3rd at 8:30am has Doc Searls, Crick Waters, Christopher Dean, Brian Bogosian, Craig Walker dig into Telecom as Software. As the Internet model of decentralized open systems takes over communications, what will change and what will stay the same? Who will thrive and be threatened? And what new possibilities will open up?

Telco 2.0: December 9-10, 2009 in Orlando, Florida. Ribbit’s Brian Coulter, Thomas Howe from The Thomas Howe Company and Jajah’s Trevor Healy will dig into the following session:

  • Voice & Messaging 2.0: Comms-Enabled Business Processes taking place on December 10th at 9:30am where they will discuss the opportunity to grow revenues from the Government/Enterprise/SME sector, creating a new ‘platform’ business model using Voice and Messaging APIs, comms-enabled business processes, value creation and money flow, and implications plus next step actions.
