So proud of our fellas:
Left to right (Tim, Dan, Alain, Jesse, Yutaka, Sai, Jason)
On July 11th, the mighty seven pictured above embarked on a bike ride. A 65 mile bike ride. Three of them (Dan, Jason and Tim) drank a little extra Gatorade and took the 100 mile challenge. They all crossed the finished line, and - more importantly - raised $5,015 that will be put towards cancer research.
Congrats fellas!!
And I wanted to give an extra special thanks to Tim who lent Yutaka his bike (and shoes) so that he could participate in the ride, gliding along on a metal frame that had a set of gears. Something I hear that is important when doing these king of distances.
For more information and to read about their fund raising activities, check out the Team Ribbit Livestrong page. They created this website using the Ribbit platform, providing a voice call blog for people to call in and leave messages, memories, wishes of support and dedications. Even though the ride is over, I am sure the fellas would love to hear your words of encouragement as they are now considering another ride to continue their charity given ways.
BT recently appointed Clive Selley as the new CEO of the Innovate and Design division at BT and he will oversee network and platform development, technology strategy and all things Ribbit. In other words, he is our new boss.

Clive paid us a visit yesterday - shook some hands, kissed some babies - and then shared his vision for the Innovate and Design division and how Ribbit played heavily into this. Can’t go into details (yet), but let’s just say there is some good stuff coming this way for everyone involved.
A local restaurant here, Pho Garden, has a speciality that requires a large appetite and a serious love of noodles. At lunch today, Kevin and Yutaka thought it would be fun to tackle that special dish and challenge one another to a Pho eating contest.
2 pounds of noodles. 2 pounds of meat. First one to finish, wins.
About 35 minutes in…I get a note:
They’re struggling. Kevin pretty much stopped already but Yutaka is going strong..
11 minutes later, another text comes my way that simply says:
The picture speaks for itself…
Hilarious. While neither Kevin or Yutaka were able to finish the monster sized bowl of Pho, they both made a respectful dent into it and we will call this one a draw.
Now, who has the bottle of Tums…
Add this one to the ‘things you never knew about a Ribbit employee’ file. Ribbit Mobile developer, Sid Jain, is quite a musician and recently submitted an entry in the Talenthouse contest to work with record producer, singer-songwriter, musician and entrepreneur Ryan Leslie in the studio, and receive assistant credits on a major label release. Suweeeettt.
Sid shows he is a master of more than one musical instrument and like the blending of R&B with Hip Hop. Nicely done.
You can see all the submissions at Talenthouse.com
Voting is closed now, and everyone here at Ribbit wishes Sid all the best and good luck!
It seems fitting today to take a look back on the past year, and celebrate some of the accomplishments we have had here at Ribbit.
