Ribbit On The Road: Upcoming Events

Monday, October 5th, 2009 | located in Conferences/Events | No Comments »

October seems to be a good month for conferences with something like 80 of them going on around the world. The Ribbit team has made their choice and will be attending, speaking and socializing at the following events:

  • FITC Un-Conference at MAX: October 4-7, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA (USA)
Chuck Freedman and Wes Leonardo are getting their Flash on led a handful of workshops and sessions this past weekend. One more to go today, at 3pm - Wes will be leading Dynamic: Refreshing RIA with Dynamic Database-driven content.
  • Oracle Open World: October 11-15, 2009 in San Francisco, CA (USA)
The CRM team will be on site hanging out in the Inner Circle Partner Pavilion, because we are an Oracle Inner Circle Partner Program. Ha. We may or may not have something to announce. You will have to come on by and see what we are doing there.
  • Google Wave Meetup: October 12, 2009 in Palo Alto, CA (USA)
You might have heard we released the Ribbit Wave Conference Gadget last week (hold conference calls inside of Wave). James Williams and Kevin Marks will demo the conference gadget while Alain Mowad and I will be there cheering them on.
  • Read Write ‘Real-Time’ Web Summit: October 15, 2009 in Mountain View, CA (USA)
This is a day-long interactive conversation between end-users and tool makers, between tool makers about standards, and between innovators from different parts of the web with diverse experiences and plans to share. Expect to see Kevin Marks and me roaming the halls.
  • FITC Edmonton:October 17-18, 2009 in Edmonton, AB (Canada)
Wes Leonardo will lead a couple of sessions here, the first is on ‘Adding Communication to your Applications with Ribbit’ taking place October 16th from 2pm-5pm and then another on October 18th from 10am-11am on Visualizing Voice: Using the Flash Microphone for advanced interaction. I know that latter still shows Chuck as the speaker, but I think we are going to give Chuck a little break as he has been traveling quite a bit as of late.
  • Google Wave Meetup: October 22, 2009 in San Francisco, CA (USA)
Might do another demo of the Ribbit Wave Conference Gadget…if we don’t drink too much beer. Or maybe we will only IF we drink too much beer. Ha.
  • BroadSoft Connections 2009 - Voice & Vision: October 25-28, 2009 in Scottsdale, AZ (USA)
The best in the telecommunications industry (aka: Ribbit - kidding - ok, I’m not) will be on hand to demonstrate how you can offer innovative, differentiated services which go beyond voice. Stop by the Ribbit booth and say hello to Brian Coulter and David Markowitz who will be on hand to answer any questions your telecommunications loving heart needs to know.
