Loic Sadoulet, a professor from INSEAD, led a group of 30 executives from Vivendi, a world leader in communications and entertainment, on a tour of Silicon Valley hi-tech and media companies that included Ribbit, Google, Facebook, Cisco, Guitar Hero (rawk!), and ALCATEL Lucent.
Ribbit’s CEO, Ted Griggs, provided an update on Ribbit - reviewing the platform capabilities, what it means to carriers and developers alike, and then walked the group through a demo of Ribbit Mobile (coming this Fall).
I asked Loic to share where the tour has taken them, what he has enjoyed most and what he hoped everyone would take home from this trip:
It was great to meet the Vivendi team and we hope to see them again next year!
While at the CaT conference in New York last month, we caught up with Brendan Lee, Loni Peristere and Juan Bonfante for a little chat on tapping into technology (Augmented Reality or otherwise) to create the best user experience on your websites and applications.
I love when creatives and technologists get together. The users win.
As the Ribbit team prepares for the rash of events coming this Fall, we thought it might be a good idea to have one resource you can check to see where we are headed, and hopefully, find some events that match your schedule so we can spend a little face:face time together.
That resource is the newly launched Ribbit Events Calendar. It is a collection of events we are attending and/or speaking at for the Mobile, Developer, CRM and Carrier markets, and includes goodies like such as:
Check it out, and if you are planning on being at any of these, let us know as we are always in the beer buying mood.

Very proud of two of our Ribbit[ers], Jason Lane and Tim Potranandana who are participating in the Livestrong event this Sunday, July 12th, to further the mission of the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF)*.
Jason and Tim have spent the last month training for the grueling 50 mile loop through San Jose, Saratoga, and Los Gatos, and over the past two weeks they have pedaled over 150 miles, including the entire 50 mile Livestrong San Jose course.
They are still a little short of their $3,000 team goal, and appreciate any support possible. If you would like to support Jason, Tim and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, you may do so on the Team Ribbit page.
Even $1 will be helpful.
* LAF focuses on cancer prevention, access to screening and care, research and quality of life for cancer survivors
